Fein tells us the JMC MagForce 90 mag drill is the smallest and lightest magnetic base drill that features a forward and reverse operation. Its 10A (1150W) brushless motor provides variable speeds between 130 and 660 RPM.
A total of 2248 pounds of magnetic force holds this drill to metal working surfaces. For safety, it also features a tilt-motion sensor that shuts down the drill in the event it should move or break free from your workpiece.
As we mentioned above, this mag drill has a compact design, featuring a ratcheting handle that enables you to work in tight areas. With a weight of just 18.7 pounds, you can easily transport it wherever you need it around the jobsite. This lightweight design also simplifies vertical and overhead use.
Its 10-foot cable provides plenty of working clearance, while a durable and wear-resistant design lets you drill in tough working conditions.
Additionally, this mag drill features onboard storage for the included 5mm Allen key so you can keep it on hand for on-the-job adjustments.
This mag drill retails for $1,299 and you can find it at your favorite Fein dealer. It comes with several accessories, including a touch guard, safety strap, coolant spray bottle, Allen key, pilot pin, and carrying case. Fein backs your purchase with a 1-year warranty, plus another two years when you register your product.
