The only downside is the cleanup: Sometimes our cooking projects leave behind a greasy residue that our hands and sponges can't reach. First, you need to rinse out the jar twice with hot water to loosen up the grease. Then add a pump of dish soap and fill the jar about a quarter of the way with more hot water.
The next step doubles as an arm workout. Tighten the lid and shake the jar like a soapy Shakeweight. The suds will clean out any residual oil without any scrubbing. Once you rinse out the remaining bubbles, your jar will be squeaky clean and ready to use again.
