The U.S. subsidiary of Japan’s Niigata Machine Techno Company Ltd. spun off the injection molding side of its business into a separate company.

On March 1, the parent company of Niigata Machine Techno USA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Niigata Machine Techno Company Ltd. of Japan, spun off the injection molding side of its business into a separate company. In support of that effort, Niigata Machinery has made a multimillion dollar investment in the business, starting with the construction of a brand new state-of-the art manufacturing facility. When complete, this new facility will consolidate all aspects of Niigata’s injection molding business into a single location in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan.

In a release, Steve Cunningham, General Manager of Niigata Machine Techno USA’s Injection Molding Division said the new plant will support a surge in interest for its MDS8000 all-electric injection molding machines, shortening lead times and allowing the company to expand into larger presses above 500 and 1000 tons.
